Responsible for managing all aspects of quality assurance for their assigned Alstom project (from tendering through start-up).
Review customer contracts;
Create and manage the project Inspection Test Plan (ITP) based upon the project requirements;
Develop a cost estimation (including time) for quality scope/activities for the project;
Monitor project sourcing plan (tendering and execution) to verify that selected suppliers can meet the project quality requirements;
As needed, organize and hold kick-off meetings for suppliers and contractors;
Review and approve quality related documentation for project (including submittals);
Provide guidance to any Alstom Quality Assurance Inspectors or Alstom Quality Control Managers involved with their assigned project;
As needed, perform (quality) audits of vendors/ suppliers/ contractors (including sites) to show
compliance with standard industry practice, code requirements, product standards, the project ITP, and their (approved) quality management system;
As needed, verify Alstom procured product/services meet requirements of Alstom engineering, QA Inspection Test Plan (ITP), customer contract, code, and standard industry practices.
Commonly verified items include:
o materials,
o fabrication/manufacturing processes and procedures,
o NDE and ****ing (mechanical, pressure, motor-load, functional, etc.),
o painting/ coatings,
o reports and turn-over documentation,
o shipment and final inspection,
o customer witness / hold points;
Provide surveillance/trip reports for inspections or audits performed;
As needed by the project, provide expediting information for vendor surveillances;
Assist supplier in developing / maintaining a high-level of product quality;
Ensures NCRs are generated on violations of operating procedures or deficient services / products;
Aid in identifying and implementing improvements to products, processes, and procedures using CARs, PARs, and/or the Lessons Learned database;
Communicate with suppliers, API project team, and the customer to achieve expected quality results (per agreed-upon contract standards)
Requirements:
Bachelor degree;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Strong amount of knowledge on industrial manufacturing procedures;
Knowledge of quality assurance methods/procedures;
Able to interpret common NDE **** results (including Radiography film);
Special Regional Requirement for India: This position requires an engineering diploma.
Minimum of five (5) years of professional quality assurance or quality control experience in manufacturing or construction industry;
Good understanding of quality assurance methods and tools (including knowledge of inspection and **** planning tools, as well as problem-solving tools);
Strong-level of understanding/reading engineering-drawings and P&IDs;
Experience reviewing quality documentation and auditing quality programs.
